Thank you for choosing VimaanDesk for your luggage and parcel delivery needs. This Shipping Policy explains our delivery terms, service timelines, coverage, cancellations and customer responsibilities. By booking a shipment with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.

VimaanDesk Shipping Policy

This policy applies to shipments booked on our website, app, or via authorised partners and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions, Refunds & Compensation Policy and Insurance / Protection policies.

We provide the following categories of logistics services:

  • Door-to-door luggage delivery (Home ⇄ Airport / Home ⇄ Hotel).
  • Domestic parcel and courier services.
  • Express & Economy services based on urgency and route.
  • Bulk and B2B freight options.

Serviceability depends on specific PIN codes and may vary by city and partner network availability.

  • Pickup and delivery times are based on slot availability and operational feasibility.
  • Drivers will attempt pickup / delivery at the registered location only.
  • If the customer is unavailable, a second attempt fee may apply.
  • Proof of Delivery may include photo, signature and / or OTP verification.
  • Remote or restricted-access locations may attract additional handling charges.

Estimated transit time depends on:

  • Origin & destination.
  • Service selected (Express / Standard / Economy).
  • External disruptions such as weather, airline delays, or operational issues.

We always aim for timely delivery; however, delays do not qualify for refunds unless specifically covered under our SLA or applicable service guarantees.

  • The customer must ensure that all items are securely packed.
  • Fragile / delicate items must be declared and properly cushioned.
  • VimaanDesk reserves the right to refuse poorly packed shipments.
  • Shipments are scanned and weighed; revised charges may apply if actual weight or dimensions exceed declared values.

The following items cannot be shipped:

  • Currency, jewellery & precious metals.
  • Perishables (unless pre-approved in writing).
  • Live animals, plants and biological materials.
  • Flammable, explosive or hazardous goods.
  • Illegal items restricted under law or airline / security rules.

If prohibited goods are found, the shipment may be seized and legal action may be taken. Any associated charges, penalties or losses will be borne by the customer.

  • All shipments include basic transit coverage.
  • Customers may opt for enhanced insurance for higher-value items.
  • Claims must be raised within 48 hours of delivery with proper proof:
    • Photos of packaging & damage.
    • Invoice / declaration of item value.
  • VimaanDesk’s maximum liability is limited to the declared value and applicable insurance terms.

Exclusions: Loss caused due to improper packing, hidden damages, or carriage of prohibited goods will not be covered under any liability.

  • Customers receive a Tracking ID to monitor shipments online, wherever available.
  • Support channels:

  • If delivery fails after two attempts, the shipment may be returned to origin.
  • Storage charges may apply for excess holding beyond 24 hours.
  • Return / re-shipping charges are borne by the customer.

  • Free cancellation within 2 hours of booking (not applicable if pickup already dispatched).
  • After pickup confirmation, standard cancellation fees will apply.
  • Refunds, if approved, will be processed within 7–14 working days.

The customer must ensure:

  • Accurate address and contact details.
  • Proper item description and value declaration.
  • Compliance with packaging rules and legal requirements.

Any false declaration, under-valuation or misrepresentation may result in extra charges, shipment hold, or refusal of shipment. Serious violations may lead to reporting to relevant authorities.

All disputes are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Jurisdiction will be New Delhi, India.
